Care of Umbrella

Our umbrellas are designed to protect you in the rain and sun. However, they are also pieces of fine fashion that can also be considered fragile and delicate. Please follow our suggestions below to help provide a long life to your umbrella.

• If winds get gusty, please close your umbrella immediately to protect it.
• Give your umbrella a little shake to loosen its folds before opening.
• A wet or damp umbrella prefers a shady place to dry rather than direct sunlight or high heat.
• Fabrics age more quickly from UV rays. Store your umbrella in indirect light to keep it young.
• Your umbrella may object to extreme temperatures by warping or fading. Take care not to leave it in places like a hot car for prolonged periods of time.
• Remember, your umbrella is not a walking stick or cane.
• Umbrella tips are sharp, please be careful for yourself and those around you.
• Be kind to your umbrella and it will be with you for many years.

Take your time to admire your umbrella. Straighten out each pleat with one hand while holding them in place with the thumb of your other hand until you go all the way around the umbrella.

While still holding the pleats in place with your thumb, find the clasp with your free hand, straighten it out, wrap it around the umbrella and in the direction of the folded pleats and fasten.

Take a moment to make any small adjustments necessary to make it look extra special.
